Me and Jason went to the second round of the Backflips Mini MX Series to represent the KOARSE crew. The first thing we noticed was the quality of the mini bike track / tracks that Jermey McNight has build for this event a very professional finish too with all the banners and signage etc . If you haven’t had a go at pit bike racing you should as it is so much fun, block passes and aggressive close racing are the name of the game, stuff you can’t get away with on bigger bikes but is relatively safe and very enjoyable on the smaller bikes.
The day went well with the sun out and a track with lots of rollers and table tops, it stayed a bit slippery in places all day dew to some over night rain and the winter sun not reaching parts of the track. Jason retired early with his recently operated on knee playing up and my best result was a 3rd in the 20min all in race at the end of the day not bad on a bike that only cost me $400. We both headed home with smiles on our faces and score bodys i think a 20min pit bike race might be equivalent to a 40min moto on a big bike thats how it felt anyways.
