Koarse MC

Our aim as a club is to introduce as many people as possible to the fabulous sport of motorcycle riding, hoping that they will experience the same joy we do. The club does this by running entry level motocross events with a emphasis on beginner level riders, but also makes the events enjoyable to expert riders by having skill based race classes.

KOARSE MC
Putting the fun in moto
since 2008

Our History

The Koarse Motorcycle Club was formed in 2008 by a group of like-minded individuals who all enjoyed riding dirtbikes in particular Freestyle motocross and pit bike racing which at the time wasn’t supported by any other clubs.

We ran various different successful pit bike and FMX events over a 6 or 7 year period which Included shows at the brass monkey rally, New Zealand pit bike champs in Christchurch in 2010, and the KOARSE FMX OPEN in 2014.

As things go and people move in different directions the club went quiet for a few years. Then in 2017, the club was resurrected after a conversation between friends at a local motorbike track, but this time the focus would be on running entry-level / grassroots motocross events. We could see that there was a gap in the local market for these types of events.

The Southern Dirt Bike Riders club were already running similar events in Southland with great success, we reached out to them and they went out of their way to help with advice and anything else we needed to help our events be successful, Thanks SDBR’s Nigel and Penny for all your help. We have now been running successful entry-level MX events since 2017 and hope to continue to do so into the future. Thanks to the farmers for their land and to all the riders that have supported our events and a special big thank you to the club members that help with the running of these events. Keep an eye on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/koarsemc/ for the next event.
