The Big Bush motocross tracks are situated on farmland owned by Mike and Pipa Jones, a short drive from the township of Milton towards the east coast nestled in the green paddocks and native bush gullies are two permanent motocross tracks that were built by the Koarse Motorcycle club.
The Top Track
This is the first track that was built on the property and has stunning views over the southern ocean and surrounding farmland. It is quite a fast track and utilizes the natural formation of the paddock well. It has a fairly big up and down hill which can be cut out for beginner riders, The track has a hand full of man made small to medium sized jumps that are all fairly easy and can all be ridden over without jumping. This track seems to be a favorite with riders, on race days i have heard some riders saying that it is one of there favorite tracks.
On the down side the track is quite exposed to the wind due to it being on top of the hill and there are a few areas that can get quite rocky.
The Bottom Track
Although this track doesn’t have the stunning views like the top track, it is more sheltered from the wind and has better soil with no rocks. It is a little tighter than the top track but flows really well and there is still plenty of places where you can crank the throttle to the stopper. The jumps on this track are a little bigger, the more experienced riders will enjoy these but they are still safe to ride for beginners. One of my personal favorite tracks.
The Koarse Motorcycle Club regularly run fun day motocross events on these two tracks as well as running other TT (natural terrain) style events on the same property in different paddocks.
keep an eye on the Koarse mc facebook page for up coming events.
